Terms of Use

The following terms of use governs your use of SchooPed, services, features, technologies and software that we offer, except where we expressly state that the separate terms of use (and not these) apply.

Our Services

Our mission is to connect millions of teachers worldwide to the best teaching opportunities in Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand. To help advance this mission, we provide the services described below to you:

Personalizing Your Experience

Your experience on SchooPed is unlike anyone else's: search jobs, messaging, post jobs, and other content that you see on SchooPed and other features that you might use and search. We use the data we have – for example, the jobs you posted, jobs you have applied for, job alerts you have created, the choices and settings you select, and what you share and do on and off our services – to personalize your experience.

Relevant Engagement

We help you find and connect with the best teaching opportunities relevant to your search across the SchooPed services you use. We use the data that we have to make suggestions for you and others – for example, the jobs that matches your skills, school profiles you may like to contact. Stronger ties are made for better communities, and we believe that our services are most useful when teachers are connected to the best teaching opportunities in the educational institutions that serve their professional interest.

Express Yourself

There are many ways to express yourself on SchooPed and to apply the jobs that matters to you – for example: showcasing teaching experience, educational qualifications, certifications, skills, awards, managing communications, writing reviews, posting jobs, and adding other content to your profile. We have also developed and continue to explore new ways for teachers and schools to use technology to share more expressive and engaging content.

Reviewing a School

Registered member as a teacher is allowed to write a school review abide by the community guidelines.

Add Videos

Whether you are a school or an individual teacher, anyone can add or share video content on SchooPed. Anyone who add videos needs to follow the community guidelines.

Apply a Job

When you click the "Easy Apply" button to submit a job application to schools on SchooPed, we send your application to the most appropriate location we have on file for that employer. If you have any reason to think your application was not received by an employer, we suggest you contact them directly to confirm.

For job searching activities, we default to not notifying the public. So, if you apply for a job through our service, our default is to share it only with the school posted a job.

Discover Your Interest

We show you jobs and other promotional content to help you discover content, products and services that are offered by registered schools that use SchooPed services. The registered schools pay us to show their job content to you, and we design our services so that the job content you see is as relevant and useful to you as everything else that you see on SchooPed.

Community Protection

Members can only build community on SchooPed if they feel safe. We employ dedicated humans around the world and develop automated algorithms to detect misuse of SchooPed, harmful conduct towards others and situations where we may be able to help support or protect our community. If we come across such conducts, we will take appropriate action – for example, offering help, removing content, blocking access to certain features, disabling an account or contacting law enforcement.

Your Commitments to SchooPed

We provide these services to you and others to help advance our mission. In exchange, we need you to make the following commitments:

Using SchooPed

When member teachers stand behind their opinions and actions, our community is safer and more accountable. For this reason, you must:

  • Be 21 or over
  • Use the same name that you use in everyday life
  • Provide accurate information about yourself
  • Create only one account (your own) and use your profile for personal purposes
  • Not share your password, give access to your SchooPed account to others

We try to make SchooPed broadly available to every teacher and school but you cannot use SchooPed if:

  • We've previously disabled your account for breaches of our terms of use or policy.
  • You are prohibited from receiving our services under applicable laws.

Sharing Content

We want members to use SchooPed to express themselves and to share content that is important to them, but not at the expense of the safety and well-being of other members or the integrity of our community. You therefore agree not to engage in the conduct described below (or to facilitate or support others in doing so). You may not:

  • Use SchooPed to share anything that breaches the terms of user agreement, our community guidelines that apply to your use of SchooPed
  • Use SchooPed to share anything that is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or fraudulent
  • Use SchooPed to share anything that infringes or breaches someone else's rights
  • Upload viruses or malicious code, or do anything that could disable, overburden or impair the working or appearance of SchooPed
  • Access or collect data from SchooPed using automated means (without our prior permission) or attempt to access data that you do not have permission to access

We can remove content that you share in breach of these provisions and, if applicable, we may take action against your account, for the reasons described below. We may also disable your account if you repeatedly infringe other people's intellectual property rights. To help support our community, we encourage you to report the content or conduct that you believe breaches your rights.

Permissions to SchooPed

We need certain permissions from you to provide our services:

  • Permission to use content that you create and share: You own the content that you create and share on SchooPed, and nothing in the agreement takes away the rights that you have to your own content
  • You are free to share your content with anyone else, wherever you want. To provide our services, however, we need you to give us some legal permission to use this content. Specifically, when you post jobs, add videos and upload other content that is covered by intellectual property rights (e.g., photos or videos) on SchooPed, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate and create derivative works of your content. This means, for example, that if you post a job post or add profile information on SchooPed, you give us permission to store, copy and share it with others
  • You can end this license at any time by deleting your content or account. You should know that, for technical reasons, any content that you delete may persist for a limited period of time in backup copies (though it will not be visible to other users)

Additional Provisions

Updating Terms of Use

We work constantly to improve our services and develop new features to make our service better for you and our community. As a result, we may need to update the terms of use from time to time to accurately reflect our services and practices. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you before we make changes to terms of use and give you an opportunity to review them before they go into effect. Once any updated terms of use are in effect, you will be bound by them if you continue to use SchooPed.

Account Suspension

We want SchooPed to be a place where member schools and teachers feel welcome and safe.

If we determine that you have breached our terms or policies, we may take action against your account to protect our community and services, including by suspending access to your account or disabling it. We may also suspend or disable your account if you create risk or legal exposure for us or when we are permitted or required to do so by law. Where appropriate, we will notify you about your account the next time you try to access it.

Limits on Liability

We work hard to provide the best services we can and to specify clear guidelines for everyone who uses them. SchooPed platform and its services, however, are provided "as is", and we make no guarantees that they will always be safe, secure or error-free, or that they will function without disruptions, delays or imperfections. To the extent permitted by law, we also (A) DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND REPRESENTATIONS (E.G. WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF DATA, AND NONINFRINGEMENT); (B) DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL FUNCTION WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR ERRORS, AND (C) PROVIDE THE SERVICE (INCLUDING CONTENT AND INFORMATION) ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. We do not control or direct what people and others do or say, and we are not responsible for their actions or conduct (whether online or offline) or any content that they share (including offensive, inappropriate, obscene, unlawful and other objectionable content).

We cannot predict when issues may arise with our services. Accordingly, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and under no circumstances will we be liable to you for any lost profits, revenues, information or data, or consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive or incidental damages arising out of or related to these terms even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Disputes

We try to provide clear rules so that we can limit or hopefully avoid disputes between you and us. If a dispute does arise, however, it's useful to know up front where it can be resolved and what laws will apply.

If you are a consumer, the laws of the country in which you reside will apply to any claim, cause of action or dispute that you have against us, which arises out of or relates to the SchooPed platform and the services offered ("claim"), and you may resolve your claim in any competent court in that country that has jurisdiction over the claim. In all other cases, you agree that the claim must be resolved exclusively in the Civil Court, Bangalore, that you submit to the personal jurisdiction of the court for the purpose of litigating any such claim, and that the laws of the republic of India will govern these terms of use agreement and any claim, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Other

Except as specifically stated in another terms of use agreement we have with you, these Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of SchooPed and the Terms of Use supersede all prior proposals, negotiations, agreements, and understandings concerning the subject matter of these Terms. You represent and warrant that no person has made any promise, representation, or warranty, whether express or implied, not contained herein to induce you to enter into this agreement. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the agreement shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of the agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, then only that provision shall be modified to reflect the parties' intention or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the agreement shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. To the extent allowed by law, the English versions of this agreement are binding and the translations are provided for convenience only. The terms of use agreement, and any rights or obligations hereunder, are not assignable, transferable or sub licensable by you except with SchooPed's prior written consent, but may be assigned or transferred by us without restriction. Any attempted assignment by you shall violate this agreement and be void. The section titles in the agreement are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect; as used in this agreement, the word "including" means "including but not limited to."

Please contact us with any questions regarding any of the terms mentioned in SchooPed Terms of Use agreement.
