The Opportunity

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team working closely with the Principal, the Vice Principal (Secondary & 6th Form) will lead the Secondary and Sixth Form phases of the school through the next stage of development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & School Improvement: Contributing to the the design of and leading, implementation, and evaluation of the School Development Plan (SDP);driving self-evaluation processes, tracking student progress, ensuring continuous curriculum excellence, and reporting directly to the Board of Directors.

  • Accreditation Leadership: Directing the school’s ongoing WASC accreditation processes, self-studies, and institutional action plans, while ensuring continuous compliance and alignment with international standards across Secondary and 6th Form.

  • Operational & Academic Leadership: Promoting, driving, and maintaining a culture of academic purpose, discipline, and ambition across Secondary and 6th Form, while embedding the school’s mission, values, and ethos.

  • Deputising for the Principal: Acting on behalf of the Principal in their absence, working in parallel with the Vice Principal (EYFS & Primary).• Line Management & Staff Development: Line managing the Assistant Principal (Secondary and 6th Form), Heads of Department, and Phase Leaders; leading the staff appraisal programme and designing a high-impact academic INSET/CPD strategy.

  • Safeguarding & Student Welfare: Playing a leading role in monitoring, overseeing, and enhancing safeguarding and child protection provisions across Secondary and 6th Form phases.

  • Community Engagement & Admissions: Collaborating with the Principal, Marketing, and Admissions teams to enhance the school’s regional and global presence and engage effectively with the wider community.

  • Relevant National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), which would be an advantage.
