Astra Academy International School is seeking an outstanding teacher to join our Upper Primary team in February 2026 (Maternity Cover), transitioning into our newly launched Middle School from August 2026. We deliver a modified version of the National Curriculum for England, designed specifically for our international context. We are developing a Middle School model (Years 5–8) that blends strong academic foundations with experiential learning, project based exploration and real world application. • have experience of inquiry based, project based or experiential learning
• understand how to make learning visible using approaches such as metacognition, visible thinking, success criteria and student reflection
• be committed to holistic education, including social emotional growth and character development
• be excited by the opportunity to help shape a Middle School that is innovative, inclusive and impactful
• value collaboration and professional dialogue
• believe that students learn best when they are actively thinking, doing and feeling

Qualifications and Requirements

• A recognised teaching qualification (BEd, PGCE or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England or international equivalents
• Experience working in Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 3
• A child centred approach and commitment to safeguarding
• A positive and professional attitude and excellent communication skills
