University Guidance and Profile Development Counsellor at Anglo Singapore International School (Bangkok Campus)
Department: Academic and Career Services (ACS)

Anglo Singapore International School is a leading trilingual international school in Thailand, known for its rigorous IGCSE and A-Level programmes, holistic approach to education, and track record of supporting students in securing admission to top universities worldwide. Our Academic and Career Services (ACS) Department is central to this mission, offering comprehensive support in subject selection, academic planning, co-curricular engagement, university admissions, and career preparation.
We are now seeking a committed and forward-thinking University Guidance and Profile Development Counsellor to join our team and play a key role in helping our students realise their full potential—both academically and personally, on the global stage.

Key Responsibilities
1. University Application Guidance (Primarily US, UK, and international pathways)
* Provide 1-on-1 counselling to students applying to top-tier universities (approx. 10–15 cases per year).
* Design long-term, individualised plans to develop students’ academic and co-curricular profiles.
* Offer expert guidance on all elements of the application: personal statements, supplemental essays, teacher recommendations, standardised testing, and interviews.
* Facilitate application logistics, including UCAS, Common App, direct-entry systems, and scholarship applications.
* Conduct university interview preparation and MMI simulations where appropriate.
2. Profile Coaching and Academic Mentorship
* Mentor students in our Profile Development Programme to identify, explore, and deepen their academic and personal interests through structured project planning, summer schools, competitions, research, and internships.
* Support students with goal setting, time management, and academic planning.
* Help students initiate and complete meaningful "passion projects" aligned with their intended field of study.
3. Strategic Development and Programme Leadership
* Lead or contribute to the ACS Department’s strategic initiatives (e.g. revamping counselling frameworks, launching new guidance programmes, enhancing Unifrog/Common App integration, or developing workshops and outreach campaigns).
* Collaborate with the school's teaching staff, Heads of Pathway, and pastoral teams to ensure alignment across academic and career guidance.
* Contribute to parent engagement and community events (e.g. university fairs, admissions talks, and parent briefings).

What We Look For
* A Bachelor’s degree from a leading university (preferably from the US or UK).
* Strong familiarity with the US and UK university admissions processes (including Common App, UCAS, Oxbridge, and selective school admissions).
* A deep passion for mentoring and supporting high school students in their personal and academic growth.
* Excellent writing skills, with experience in essay coaching and personal statement development.
* Prior experience in education, academic advising, or working with high-performing students (experience with A-Level or IGCSE programmes is a plus).
* A proactive and strategic mindset with a track record of taking ownership of initiatives or leading educational projects.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
* (Preferred) Experience guiding applicants to top-tier or highly selective institutions (Ivy League, Oxbridge, etc.)
* Background in a STEM field or experience guiding STEM applicants is a plus.

This position is open to all applicants with a TOEIC score of 850+ (or equivalent) and the offered monthly salary is THB55-60,000 per month. All other benefits will be presented to those who are selected for an interview.
