Job Title: University Guidance and Profile Development Coordinator

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and committed University Guidance and Profile Development Coordinator to join our team and support students in realising their full academic and personal potential on the global stage. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mentorship, strategic planning and coordinating with Universities from around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
1. University Application Guidance (Primarily US, UK, and international pathways)
Provide 1-on-1 counselling to students applying to top-tier universities (approx. 10–15 cases per year).
Design long-term, individualised plans to develop students’ academic and co-curricular profiles.
Offer expert guidance on all elements of the application: personal statements, supplemental essays, teacher recommendations, standardised testing, and interviews.
Facilitate application logistics, including UCAS, Common App, direct-entry systems, and scholarship applications.
Conduct university interview preparation and MMI simulations where appropriate.
2. Profile Coaching and Academic Mentorship
Mentor students in our Profile Development Programme to identify, explore, and deepen their academic and personal interests through structured project planning, summer schools, competitions, research, and internships.
Support students with goal setting, time management, and academic planning.
Help students initiate and complete meaningful "passion projects" aligned with their intended field of study.
3. Strategic Development and Programme Leadership
Lead or contribute to the Academic and Career Service Department’s strategic initiatives (e.g. revamping counselling frameworks, launching new guidance programmes, enhancing Unifrog/Common App integration, or developing workshops and outreach campaigns).
Collaborate with the school's teaching staff, Heads of Pathway, and pastoral teams to ensure alignment across academic and career guidance.
Contribute to parent engagement and community events (e.g. university fairs, admissions talks, and parent briefings).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, International Relations, English, or a related field
Strong familiarity with the US and UK university admissions processes (including Common App, UCAS, Oxbridge, and selective school admissions).
A deep passion for mentoring and supporting high school students in their personal and academic growth.
Excellent writing skills, with experience in essay coaching and personal statement development.
Prior experience in education, academic advising, or working with high-performing students (experience with A-Level or IGCSE programmes is a plus).
A proactive and strategic mindset with a track record of taking ownership of initiatives or leading educational projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
(Preferred) Experience guiding applicants to top-tier or highly selective institutions (Ivy League, Oxbridge, etc.)
Background in a STEM field or experience guiding STEM applicants is a plus.
