Role Overview:
Mill Hill International School Thailand is seeking a passionate and experienced Thai Language Teacher to join our vibrant and diverse academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging Thai language and culture lessons to both Thai and non-Thai students across various age groups. The teacher will be expected to contribute to the academic and personal development of students while promoting intercultural understanding and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Thai language and culture to students of varying language abilities.
- Design and deliver differentiated lesson plans to meet the needs of both Thai and non-Thai students.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and digital tools to enhance student learning.
- Assess and report on student progress in line with school policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular activities and support school-wide initiatives.
- Encourage student participation in Thai cultural activities and events.
- Maintain high standards of classroom behavior and discipline.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
Qualifications and Experience (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, majoring in Thai language or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Thai language education.
- Experience in teaching both Thai and non-Thai students.
- Proficient in both Thai and English (spoken and written).
- Ability to integrate technology and digital resources into the classroom effectively.
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
- Teaching license or professional teaching certificate from the Teachers’ Council of Thailand.
- Experience working in an international school or multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., IGCSE, IB, or A-Level) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A growth mindset and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A passion for education and promoting Thai culture.
