Job overview

The Role

PE at DBS is taught as a specialist subject from Reception up to Year 9, then to Year 10 and 11 as an IGCSE subject. This will extend to A Level as the demand grows. Games is taught as an additional subject to students from Year 3 to Year 13, with the aim of supporting and developing students as they prepare for fixtures against local schools in leagues and cups, and against schools from the SE Asia region in FOBISIA competitions.

The Teacher of PE must subscribe fully to the core values of DBS, and understand how academic study, pastoral care and co-curricular activities contribute equally within it. The Teacher of PE will be responsible to the Director of Sport, through the Head of PE.

Remuneration

The successful candidate will receive excellent salary and benefits commensurate with their experience.

This will include:

  • Competitive salary.
  • On-site accommodation (if recruited from overseas) for first year of contract at least. Option to move off-site and receive housing allowance from the second year.

  • 100% Tuition fees contribution for up to two children, three for teaching couples (50% for subsequent children).
