Location: Learn Satit Pattana School, Bangkok, Thailand
Position Type: Full-Time, Secondary Level (Grades 7-12)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Literature and ESL Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge in literature and English language instruction, along with the ability to engage and support students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. You will design and deliver dynamic, level-appropriate lessons that foster critical thinking, language development, and a love of reading and writing.

The successful candidate will inspire students to reach their full potential, contribute actively to the school community, and collaborate with colleagues to support both academic achievement and student wellbeing. A commitment to professional growth and participation in school initiatives is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Learning
- To teach teach Literature & ESL up to 22 periods a week
- To prepare level appropriate lessons and materials for all scheduled classes.
- To assist in test writing, marking and entering of grades into the school MS.
- Able to nominate skills or interests which may enrich the school's menu of elective courses.
- To work with all other teachers in the department in order to provide the best level education in accordance with professional standards expected in the school.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department, Academic Support, and counseling services to support students’ academic and pastoral needs.

2. School & Departmental Contributions
- Promote a positive school culture through collaboration with colleagues, participating in departmental and school-wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development.
- Contribute to curriculum development, cross-curricular projects, and leadership activities within the school.
- Maintain professional dialogue to share ideas and best practices in teaching and learning.
- Participate actively in extracurricular activities, demonstrating commitment to the whole-child approach.
- Support the effective and efficient operation of the school by undertaking additional duties as requested by school leadership.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Literature, Education, Linguistics, CELTA or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching Literature and ESL at the secondary level (Grades 7–12)
- Strong understanding of language acquisition and differentiated instruction for ESL learners
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Experience with assessment design, grading, and tracking student progress
- Enthusiastic about education, collaboration, and ongoing professional growth
