King's College International School Bangkok wishes to appoint a dedicated, well-qualified Biology teacher to teach students throughout the senior school. We hold high ambitions for every student. Engage, Inspire and Extend is our core educational philosophy, and through it we develop the qualities we value most: wisdom, leadership, problem solving and kindness. We are looking for a teacher who shares these values and brings them to every area of school life, helping students grow into happy, well-mannered young people ready for the future.
The successful candidate will join the Biology department within our Science faculty: a team of specialists who care about biology, about how students learn it, and about each other. Across Science, a clear, well-sequenced curriculum defines what is taught, and teachers' professional expertise defines how it is taught. Together we deliver a curriculum that gives students deep and lasting understanding, uses assessment that shows us what they understand, and provides timely support when they need it. We seek a Biology teacher who explains ideas with clarity, uses assessment to adapt their teaching, makes practical work a regular part of learning, and helps students connect biology to the wider world. We are a department that learns together. We talk openly about what is and isn't working, plan collaboratively and keep developing our practice.
Every teacher at King's is also a tutor, and we see this as central to the role rather than an addition to it. Strong partnerships between school and home make a real difference to students' wellbeing and progress. The tutor is at the heart of that partnership: the first point of contact for families, and the person who knows each student well across their whole school life. We are looking for someone who will build warm, professional relationships with students and their parents, combine care with high expectations, and see this as part of great teaching.
If you are a Biology specialist who wants to keep developing, enjoys working closely with colleagues, and holds high expectations for every student, we would like to hear from you.
