Job Title: Social Studies Teacher (Middle School)
Location: Edify School, Chikkabanavara, Bengaluru
Position type: Full Time
Classes: Grade 5 to 7 (CBSE)
Requirement: IMMEDIATE
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Social Studies Teacher with an experience in teaching CBSE curriculum to join our school. The candidate should have a strong background in social studies education, with a focus on engaging and inspiring students in the subject.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Deliver engaging and effective lessons that cover the CBSE Social Studies curriculum for grade 5,6 & 7. Develop a deep understanding of historical concepts, geographical principles, political systems, and economic theories in students.
· Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, group activities, projects, and technology integration, to keep students actively involved in learning.
· Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, tolerance, and collaboration.
· Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians and relevant stakeholders regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education or a related field (History, Geography, Political Science, etc..). Master's degree preferred.
· Candidates having previous teaching experience in a school are preferred.
· Teaching certification required (e.g., B.Ed or equivalent).
· Strong understanding of the CBSE Social Studies curriculum.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
