Job overview
The Beginning of a Great Heart

The School:

King’s College International School Bangkok is a King’s College Wimbledon International School. We opened in September 2020 for boys and girls and now cater for over 1,600 students aged 2 –18 in Early Years to Year 13, offering IGCSEs, A-levels and pathways to the world’s best universities.

We work closely with King’s Wimbledon to provide a well-structured education that aims to instil a love of learning, creativity, and independence in our students. Our vision is to engage, inspire and extend our students. We want our alumni to be successful in their own ways. We do this with the values of kindness, good manners and wisdom in a friendly, welcoming and attractive environment.

We are looking for outstanding teachers and leaders who embody our values, can inspire students and who understand the values of a UK-style education.

We value our teachers and we recruit the best. To help us do this, we offer an excellent package of international benefits including annual flight allowance, medical insurance, housing allowance, a competitive salary and places in school for up to two children subject to our admissions process.

The Position:

The school wishes to appoint a Senior school SENDCO who is a strategic, values-led leader of inclusive education, with a deep commitment to ensuring that every student is able to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of SENDCO across multiple phases, alongside the ability to design, lead, and evaluate systems that enable consistent, high-quality provision at scale.

Since 2020 the school has grown rapidly, and this role represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND leader to shape and embed a coherent whole-school approach to inclusion. The Senior School SENDCO will play a key role in building sustainable structures, developing staff expertise, and ensuring that SEND provision evolves in step with the school’s growth and ambition.

The Senior School SENDCO has a crucial role to play in the strategic leadership of SEND across the school. Working closely with the Senior School Management Team, they will lead SEND systems, oversee staff and resources, and ensure consistency of practice across phases.

he Senior School SENDCO will provide guidance and challenge to colleagues, support the professional development of SEND staff and Educational Assistants, and ensure that inclusive practice is embedded within teaching and learning.

The role requires a visible and collaborative leader who builds strong partnerships with parents, staff, and external professionals. The Senior School SENDCO will ensure that systems such as SEND identification, provision mapping, intervention monitoring, and access arrangements are robust, compliant, and purposeful. Through thoughtful leadership and clear vision, they will contribute directly to the school’s strategic intent to be amongst the leading schools in Asia by securing excellent outcomes for all learners.

If you are an experienced and forward-thinking SEND leader who shares our high expectations, values, and ambition for inclusive excellence, we would welcome your application.
