About the Role:
Satit Bilingual School of Rangsit University (SBS) is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and professionally certified Science Teacher with a strong background in Biology to join our international secondary teaching team.
This role involves teaching lower and/or upper secondary Science and Biology, with an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced candidate to take on the role of Head of Science Department. Prior leadership experience in a Science department is required for consideration for the Head of Department position.
The successful candidate will be fully committed to supporting student development through both curricular and extracurricular activities and contributing positively to the wider school community.
Essential Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
● Teaching Science and Biology to lower and/or upper secondary students in line with the Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE & AS/A Level) and Thai MoE requirements.
● Providing academic and professional leadership as Head of Science Department (for appointed candidates), including curriculum oversight, departmental planning, and staff support.
● Preparing curriculum plans, lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching resources, and managing academic information via the school’s administrative systems.
● Adapting teaching methods and learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including EAL learners.
● Designing and conducting practical laboratory experiments safely and effectively.
● Assessing student attainment, monitoring academic progress, and providing timely, constructive feedback.
● Establishing clear classroom expectations and supporting students’ academic, social, and personal development.
● Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.
● Planning and implementing remedial and enrichment programmes where required.
● Attending faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and whole-school events.
● Planning and supporting extracurricular activities such as science clubs, competitions, and academic events.
● Undertaking additional professional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Science / Biology / Life Sciences / Education or a related field
● Recognised professional teaching qualification / licence / certification
● A Master’s degree is an advantage
Experience:
● Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification teaching experience in a structured school environment
● Proven experience teaching Biology and/or Science at lower and/or upper secondary level
● Experience teaching Cambridge International programmes (IGCSE & AS/A Level) and familiarity with Thai MoE expectations
● Leadership experience within a Science department (required for Head of Department consideration)
● Experience working with international curricula, EAL learners, and multicultural school communities
● Practical experience delivering laboratory-based science lessons

● Fluent English speaker (minimum C1 level)
