
School Background: The Newton Sixth Form was formed in 2019 and it’s schools are located in central Bangkok, a few minutes walk from Siam BTS. The schools are open for students in years 2-7 in the primary section and years 8-13 in the senior section, focusing primarily on an IGCSE, A-Level, and BTEC curriculum under Pearson. The current teaching team is a mix of international teachers and Thai teachers with native-like accuracy in English.
Qualifications and experience:
-Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or above in the relevant field and preferably a teaching qualification such as TEFL, CELTA or above.
-Candidates should have a minimum of one year’s experience delivering in-class teaching of their specialized subject with the relevant age group.
-An understanding of the Pearson IGCSE and IAL and BTEC programs would be beneficial but not essential.
-Only applicants currently residing in Thailand will be considered.
Positions:
We are currently recruiting for the following roles for the next academic year starting at the beginning of August 2025.
1, High School English Teacher (Year 8-13) with experience delivering IELTS test preparation.
2, High School English Teacher (Year 10-11) with experience delivering IGCSE English A.
3, High School Humanities Teacher (Year 8-13) with experience delivering IGCSE History and Global Citizenship.
*candidates without specific experience in the above tests will be considered if they have the required qualifications and background to adapt to delivering the courses.
Benefits:
-Working hours: 09.00-18:00 Monday-Friday. The very occasional Saturday work may be required for open houses or school events.
-Salary: Starting salary of at least 50k per month, based on qualifications and experience.
-Private health insurance is provided after passing probation.
-12-month contract renewable.
