Physical Education (PE) Teacher
Position Overview
As a Physical Education (PE) Teacher at our international school, you will play a key role in promoting physical fitness, well-being, and an active lifestyle among our students. The role involves delivering engaging PE lessons, developing students’ physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

You will contribute to the development of the PE curriculum, support students’ overall growth, and work collaboratively within a multicultural school community.

 

Key Responsibilities
-Design and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons appropriate to students’ age, ability, and cultural background.
-Teach a variety of sports, games, and physical activities focusing on movement skills, techniques, strategy, and fair play.
-Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and respect in all activities.
-Plan and implement a progressive PE curriculum using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
-Adapt teaching strategies to support students with different learning styles and abilities.
-Promote healthy lifestyles by educating students about physical fitness, nutrition, and personal wellbeing.
-Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
-Ensure student safety during all PE activities and follow school health and safety procedures.
-Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and school events.
-Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student development.
-Participate in school events, meetings, professional development activities, and parent-teacher conferences.
-Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold the school’s mission and values.

General Duties
-Comply with and actively support all school policies and procedures.
-Follow school Health and Safety policies and ensure a safe learning environment.
-Perform any additional duties as assigned by PBISS management.
-Support school-wide initiatives and projects that benefit the organisation.

Qualifications and Skills
-Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
-Teaching qualification or certification preferred.
-Previous experience teaching Physical Education, preferably in an international or multicultural school.
-Strong knowledge of sports, physical fitness, and wellness practices.
-Ability to design engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
-Strong organisational and time-management skills.
-Commitment to continuous professional development.
-CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
