Our next Head of Department will work in our Creative arts Faculty to lead the team of three specialist teachers, supported by excellent technicians and learning mentors. This is the only growth position, so our newest colleague will have an established team and access to great support and institutional knowledge.

Our Applicant Handbook can be found here.

This Secondary Head of department role is remunerated on our Position of Responsibility scale at POR 2.

Initial teaching contracts are usually two years August 2026 - July 2028. All POR's are reviewed and renewed annually by the leaders and the school.

All students in Key Stage 3 Study Design Technology and work towards the Cambridge IGCSE Design and Technology qualification if they choose this option in Key Stage 4 . In the Sixth Form we offer the Cambridge A Level Design and Technology qualification. We want to work with people who are able to integrate our values, the SDGs and our intercultural competencies into their teaching and curriculum planning. A teacher who is reflective and has a passion for lifelong learning.

To be appointed you will be genuinely committed to working in a progressive, supportive and forward-thinking environment. For our staff, families and students we strive to create opportunities to learn that are challenging, creative, engaging, collaborative and personalised.
