We are currently looking for a qualified native English speaker to fill the role of Secondary English Teacher, with a starting date in August 2025 or earlier, depending on availability.
The position is urgently needed and open only to candidates from English-speaking countries including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland.
Eligible applicants should be either male or female, between the ages of 24 and 45, and must already be residing in Thailand. Ideal candidates should demonstrate strong communication abilities, good organizational habits, and the ability to collaborate well with others. A minimum of one year’s teaching experience in Thailand is required.
The role involves teaching English for Communication to students in secondary school. Teachers are expected to prepare their own lesson plans and classroom materials, while also participating in school-wide events and cooperative teaching responsibilities with colleagues.
Teaching duties will generally include 21 to 25 class periods per week, with each class consisting of approximately 30 to 38 students. These periods are spread across various levels within the secondary department, depending on the school’s scheduling needs.
The position begins with two consecutive contracts. The first contract will last from the appointed start date until April 30, 2026. If performance is satisfactory, the school will offer a second 12-month contract, running from May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027.
Renewal of the contract beyond the initial two terms is contingent upon performance evaluations and overall assessment by the school’s management. Teachers demonstrating commitment and effectiveness may continue under annual renewal agreements.
The compensation package includes a total of 40,000 Baht per month. This consists of a base monthly salary of 35,000 Baht, supplemented by a housing allowance of 5,000 Baht. However, during the school’s April break, only half the total amount will be paid, which is 20,000 Baht.
Working hours are from 07:30 to 16:30, Monday through Friday, unless the school assigns different days. Teachers are expected to be present throughout the workday and actively participate in any assigned responsibilities during these hours.
All Thai government holidays, amounting to roughly 13 to 15 days per year, will be observed and granted to the teacher. This includes major public and religious holidays recognized nationally.
Applicants must handle their own visa and work permit costs, which include a request form fee of 100 Baht, a work permit fee of 3,000 Baht, and a visa fee of 1,900 Baht. The school will assist with the necessary paperwork and coordination required for these processes.
The job is based at Chakkarat Wittaya School, a government institution located in a peaceful small town around 40 kilometers from the city of Nakhon Ratchasima. The school serves approximately 2,600 students. Prospective applicants are encouraged to verify the school’s location in advance.
