The French International School of Bangkok (LFIB) is seeking an experienced Secondary English Teacher (LVA – Langue Vivante A) for a temporary full-time replacement position.

Contract: Fixed-term replacement contract with no predetermined end date
Expected duration: Approximately 1 to 3 months
Teaching load: Full-time – 18 teaching hours per week
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Required experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience
Qualification: Master’s degree or equivalent

Main Responsibilities
1.Teaching English in the French secondary curriculum – Middle and High School
   Teach English as the first foreign language to middle and high school students in accordance with the French Ministry of Education curriculum.
   Develop students’ language skills in listening, reading, speaking, writing and interaction.
   Design engaging and structured learning sequences that foster student autonomy, participation and progress.
   Integrate digital tools effectively into teaching and learning.
   Assess students regularly in accordance with French secondary-school assessment requirements.
   Prepare students for continuous assessment and national examinations, including the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB) and the French  Baccalauréat.

2. Contribution to Educational Projects
    Actively contribute to interdisciplinary and cross-curricular projects in collaboration with teaching teams.
    Participate in English-language and international cultural initiatives, such as language events, theatre projects, debates, competitions,          Model United Nations (MUN) and other school activities.
    Contribute to the wider educational life and projects of the school.

3. Student Monitoring and Support
    Monitor students’ academic progress and provide appropriate individual support.
    Participate in class councils, departmental meetings and pedagogical meetings.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues and other members of the educational team.
    Maintain regular and constructive communication with families regarding students’ progress when appropriate.

  Candidate Profile
  Qualifications and Experience
  Master’s degree or equivalent (Bac+5) in English, English Studies, Foreign Languages, Language Education, Applied Linguistics or a      related field.
   A recognised French teaching qualification such as the CAPES or CAFEP in English would be an advantage.
   At least five years of relevant secondary-school teaching experience.
   Previous experience within the French education system or an AEFE/French international school environment would be a strong advantage.

Professional Skills
Excellent command of English, at native or near-native proficiency.
Strong knowledge of the French national curriculum for English at collège and lycée levels.
Sound understanding of assessment requirements and practices in French secondary education.
Ability to teach effectively in a multicultural and multilingual international environment.
Proficiency in the use of digital tools for teaching and learning.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within subject and interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to adapt quickly and ensure pedagogical continuity in a replacement context.
