About the Role:
Satit Bilingual School of Rangsit University (SBS) is seeking a native English-speaking, dynamic, and committed Lower Secondary English & Drama Teacher to join our international teaching team.
This role is focused on teaching English and Drama to Lower Secondary students (approximately Year 7–10). The successful candidate does not need to be an exam-level English specialist, but should have a strong enough background to confidently support students’ English language development and deliver engaging, well-structured Drama lessons.
The position is ideal for a flexible, creative educator who enjoys working with younger secondary students and contributing to a vibrant school culture through both academic and co-curricular programmes.
Essential Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
● Teaching English, focusing on language development, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
● Teaching Drama, including performance skills, improvisation, character development, script analysis, creativity, and ensemble collaboration
● Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum framework and school schemes of work.
● Preparing lesson plans, teaching resources, and assessments, and maintaining accurate records on the school’s administrative systems.
● Adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, including EAL students.
● Assessing student progress and providing constructive, age-appropriate feedback.
● Establishing clear classroom expectations and supporting students’ academic, social, and personal development.
● Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.
● Supporting or leading drama-related extracurricular activities
● Attending faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
● Undertaking additional professional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Education / English /Drama / Performing Arts or a related field
● Recognised professional teaching qualification / licence / certification
● A drama-related qualification or strong practical drama background is highly desirable
● A Master’s degree is an advantage
Experience:
● Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification teaching experience in a structured school setting
● Experience teaching English and/or drama to Primary or Lower Secondary students
● Familiarity with Cambridge International Education or other international curricula is an advantage
● Experience working with EAL learners in an international school environment
● Confidence in delivering practical and performance-based Drama lessons
