Tara Pattana International School seeks a talented, innovative and ambitious teacher of Key Stage 3, 4 and 5cience for an immediate start. This is an exciting time to join TPIS as we are increasing our numbers on role significantly and recruiting several new staff to meet this need.  The school has recently become an ISP partner school. If you have high expectations of teaching and learning and have a natural passion for improving opportunities for children to nurture their aspirations, then this could be the role for you.

The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching IGCSE double award science, and A Level biology, chemistry or physics. The ability to teach, a thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum for England, and prior experience of supporting students who are learning English as an additional language; a TEFL qualification is an added bonus. The school also offers IGCSE Food & Nutrition so a willingness to teach the theory part of that course is also an advantage.

They should be highly professional but flexible in their approach, willing to take on a variety of tasks and fit into the wider community life. There are also some key criteria that must be fulfilled to qualify for a visa and work permit.

The successful candidate will be:

• A fully qualified teacher.
• Have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
• Be flexible and positive in their approach to working in an all-through international school (e.g. teaching some upper primary science).
• Be a team player and willing to commit to our co-curricular activities programme and willing to contribute to the school beyond the timetabled curriculum (e.g. residential trips, marketing events, sporting fixtures).
• Be to build relationships with students, parents, administrative staff and colleagues.
• Be culturally sensitive..
