Position Overview
The Guidance Counselor work in a counseling team to supports G6-12 students in their academic and university/career development. This role helps students discover their strengths, make informed decisions about their future, and successfully prepare for university and life beyond school.
The counselor works closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure each student is known, supported, and prepared.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic & University Counseling
Guide students in course selection and academic planning (Grades 6–12)
Support students in building strong academic portfolios
Provide university and career guidance (especially US pathway and AP planning)
Assist with university applications, essays, and recommendation processes
Organize university fairs, workshops, and pathway events
2. Student Development & Career Exploration
Help students identify strengths, interests, and goals
Facilitate career awareness programs and activities
Support internships, service learning, and enrichment opportunities
3. Parent & Community Engagement
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and planning
Provide workshops for parents on academic planning and university pathways
Build relationships with universities and external partners
4. Records & Administration
Maintain accurate student records and counseling notes
Support transcripts, reports, and recommendation letters
Track student progress toward graduation and university readiness
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, or related field
Experience in school counseling (international school experience preferred)
Strong understanding of university admissions in Thailand and abroad
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
