
Bangkok Christian College is a large, all boys, private school located in central Bangkok. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the Prathom (primary) section of our English Immersion Program. The available position is for 2nd grade assistant teacher.
In this role you would be supporting the lead teachers of two 2nd grade classes. Exact responsibilities will vary depending on the requirements of the teachers and their students, but will include marking, helping with classroom management, escorting students to and from classes, and decorating and maintaining bulletin boards. You will be required to work closely with small groups of students who require extra support and attention, and you may be required to fill-in for the lead teacher if they are absent.
This position may be suitable for someone at or near the beginning of their teaching journey. We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships with both colleagues and students, and contribute to the building and maintaining of an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Applicants are required to be holders of passports and graduate degrees from one of the following countries: U.K./Republic of Ireland/U.S./Australia/Canada/New Zealand/Republic of South Africa. It is also necessary that they should have a working familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as MS Word and PowerPoint.
Your degree must be supported by university issued certification and transcripts.
This position has a salary of 55,000 THB pcm. Other benefits include an end of contract bonus, paid holidays, and basic health insurance.
The school calendar follows the Thai academic year, running from May until March, with short breaks in October and over Christmas.
