We are seeking a High Needs Teacher who shares our commitment to providing a nurturing, inspiring, and inclusive educational journey for every student. Join us in creating a positive, lasting impact.
At St. Andrews International School Bangkok, we believe knowing each child is at the heart of effective education. Our classrooms are warm, engaging spaces where students feel supported to explore, learn, and grow. Our teachers bring this vision to life through creativity, dedication, and commitment to each child’s unique journey.
As a teacher at St. Andrews, you will nurture the academic and personal growth of your class, adapting teaching methods to meet the individual needs, abilities, and interests of each student. Staying informed on current educational practices, you’ll bring fresh ideas to our curriculum and provide meaningful, regular feedback to parents. Collaboration is central to our approach, and you’ll work closely with colleagues and Heads of Phase to create cohesive learning experiences.
Our STARS programme supports students with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, intellectual delays, and physical disabilities. As a key member of our team, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the learning experiences and progress of these exceptional children. Reporting to the STARS Coordinator and the Whole School Director of Learning Support and Inclusion, you’ll work with a transdisciplinary team—including teachers, specialists, and families—to design, implement, and refine tailored learning and therapy programmes. Acting as the primary link among stakeholders, you’ll ensure effective communication to align processes, challenges, and plans for a cohesive approach to education.
As a classroom teacher, you will lead planning, assessment, and evaluations for your class, overseeing areas of the STARS curriculum and creating termly plans and resources. You’ll also prepare, implement, monitor, and review Individual Learning and Health Plans, tailoring them to meet each child’s needs and guiding their progress across the programme. STARS teachers regularly review progress with parents, teachers, and specialists, celebrating successes and addressing challenges. Through clear and compassionate written reports, you will provide parents with a comprehensive understanding of their child’s development.
Previous experience teaching Year 2 or Year 3, and supporting the transition between KS1 and KS2, is desirable although not essential.
Working collaboratively with curriculum and therapy leads, you’ll mentor LSAs to develop innovative, needs-driven programmes that empower students to achieve their potential. You will also champion inclusivity, helping STARS students access a wide range of opportunities across the school. Join us, and you’ll find a supportive and inspiring environment where your talents can flourish and your passion for teaching will make a lasting impact.
