School Context
Regent’s International School, Bangkok is a well-established international school for day and boarding students. The school delivers a locally adapted English curriculum to students, including the IGCSE qualifications at the end of Year 11. At sixth form, the school offers the IB Diploma Programme and is being authorised to offer the IB Career-Related Pathway.
Students at Regent’s come from Thailand and across the region. The school is a privately owned school and all families (except those on scholarships) pay fees for the school’s services.
The school is a member of Round Square, the Federation of British International Schools In Asia (FOBISIA), the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) and the Thailand International Schools Athletic Committee (TISAC).
Regent’s is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and ONESQA.

Safeguarding the welfare of children at Regent’s is a priority and we expect all staff to share that commitment. All Regent’s teachers and staff undergo child safeguarding screening including checks with past employers, law enforcement authorities, and other governmental agencies as required.

Position Specific Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery and Instruction
● Deliver a dynamic performing arts curriculum to primary students, focusing on foundational skills in music, drama, and movement.
● Implement developmentally appropriate, engaging, and inclusive lessons that encourage young students to explore creativity and self-expression.
Student Learning and Support
● Provide high-quality instruction in music, drama, and movement.
● Foster student-centered learning and age-appropriate methodologies that promote a love for the arts, ensuring a supportive and encouraging classroom environment.
Progress Monitoring and Assessment
● Implement assessment practices suited to the primary level, tracking individual student progress in a way that supports growth in musicality, creativity, and confidence.
● Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning.
Collaboration and Contribution
● Collaborate with the Head of Primary Performing Arts, Head of Secondary Performing Arts and Whole School Director of Performance to ensure curriculum
continuity and alignment.
● Actively contribute to discussions and initiatives aimed at enhancing the performing arts programme across all levels.
Student Enrichment and Performance Opportunities
● Support and facilitate engaging extracurricular activities, clubs and mini-performances for primary students.
● Assist in identifying and preparing students for opportunities to showcase their talents within the school and local community.
Professional Growth:
● Actively engage in professional development opportunities provided by the school
and independently seek out best practices in early arts education, classroom management, and the integration of music, drama, and movement into the curriculum.
Resource Management and Classroom Environment:
● Maintain performing arts resources and materials, including instruments, props, costumes, and other equipment, ensuring they are well-organized and effectively
used to support a well-rounded curriculum.
● Create an inspiring and functional learning space for students.
Parental Communication:
● Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and performing arts activities.
● Provide updates on classroom activities and opportunities for involvement in performances and events, as guided by the Head of Primary Performing Arts.

Qualifications and Requirements
● A degree in performing arts, music, early childhood or primary education, or a related field.
● Relevant experience (3+ years) in primary arts education, with a proven track record of effective classroom instruction, ideally within an international or multicultural school environment.
● Good knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices for primary-aged students, with experience in music, drama and movement instruction.
● Understanding of student-centred and inquiry-based learning in the primary years, with the ability to implement effective arts education practices.
● Engaged in continuous professional development in primary arts education, staying current with educational trends and best practices.
● Current background checks and safeguarding certifications as required by school policy, with a demonstrated commitment to student safety and well-being.
