Job Overview

The Primary Mathematics & Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Mathematics and Science to primary students. The role requires strong subject knowledge, effective classroom practice, and the ability to nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and conceptual understanding across a range of abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Primary Mathematics and Science in alignment with both the Cambridge Primary and Singapore curricula

  • Plan and deliver structured, engaging, and differentiated lessons that integrate best practices from both educational frameworks

  • Apply Singapore Mathematics approaches to strengthen conceptual understanding, numeracy fluency, and problem-solving

  • Deliver Science lessons that promote inquiry, experimentation, and scientific thinking in accordance with Cambridge standards

  • Monitor and assess student progress using Cambridge-aligned assessment practices

  • Prepare students with strong foundational knowledge to support progression into secondary education

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that promotes resilience, independence, and a love of learning

  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress and development

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and excellence within the Primary department

  • Participate in school-wide events, co-curricular activities, and ongoing professional development

Remuneration

A competitive salary package will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The package includes a housing allowance and a return air ticket upon completion of the contract for overseas applicants.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)

  • Minimum of two to three years’ teaching experience at the primary level

  • Proven experience teaching both the Cambridge Primary curricula

  • Experience working in an international school environment

  • Native-level fluency in English with strong professional communication skills

  • Excellent classroom management, organisational, and interpersonal skills

  • Reflective, collaborative, and student-centred teaching approach
