We are Satit Ratchathani University International Demonstration School—Satit RTU, a Cambridge school by Ratchathani university—private university, located in Ubon Ratchathani. There are two other universities in Ubon Ratchathani, which are Ubon Ratchathani University and Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University (both government schools). There is sometimes confusion in the names. We are located in town, on the ring road, exactly opposite to CentralPlaza Department Store. The cost of living is low here, housing readily available, and despite being a small town; we have a nice selection of restaurants, nightclubs, and shopping. Ubon Ratchathani is a six-hour drive or 50-minute flight from Bangkok. Our province is boarded by Laos and the Mekong River, Pha Taem National Park, and Sam Pan Bok.

Position: Non-Thai Assistant Teachers for Preschoolers
Satit RTU seeks a fully qualified, and inspirational Early Years teacher and who is an energetic, highly inspired and motivated person. Someone who is passionate about childcare and education and is committed to achieving high standards and creating a stimulating, positive and child-centred classroom ethos. The position is for full-time only, commencing on May 26, 2025.
Requirements:
Candidates must be English speakers from countries outside of Thailand.
Bachelor’s degree in Education
Recent experience working with early years children is an advantage.

Job description:
1. Assisting the Main teacher in an Early Years group. Each class has no more than 25 students. There are two other teachers in the classroom: the Main teacher is British, and there are two assistant teachers—one Thai and the other from a different nationality. We follow the Cambridge Early Years Curriculum, and worksheets are provided for use. All teachers are required to attend Pre-service Introduction Training. There is a termly evaluation to support teachers in improving their work. Teachers are encouraged to suggest new teaching methods and work within the Early Years framework.
2. Assisting in After-school or Weekend classes. We offer a variety of interesting activities such as Arts and Crafts, Music, Dance, Mandarin, and English. Each class has no more than 15 students.
3. Supervising students during school excursions, which take place once a term. Parents may accompany their children, and other school staff are available to assist during the trip.
The responsibilities are as follows:
1) Assisting the main teacher with lesson plans, teaching materials, learning resources, etc.
2) Supporting students in class activities, assisting them with toilet visits, changing nappies, etc.
3) Writing reports and presenting students' progress at weekly meetings.
4)Cleaning the classroom and teaching materials daily.
5) Other responsibilities such as leading projects for Children’s Day activities, lunch duty, gate duty, etc.
Classrooms have air conditioning, sound systems/microphones, overhead projectors, and white boards. Class sizes range from 8 to 25 students. The ability to maintain a positive presence within a large audience is required.
The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. Working hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, 5 days per week. Holidays ('weekends') are two consecutive days per week, and are usually scheduled on Saturday and Sunday, but can negotiate or change with each term.
The probation period is three months, during which the salary will be 18,000 THB per month. Upon successful completion of the probation period, the salary will increase to 22,000 THB per month. Non-B visa and work permit are provided, as well as holidays. Insurance is also available.
