: Curriculum Planner for Pre-Primary Grades (Literacy)

Location: Kolkata

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Curriculum Planner to join our organisation. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in creating and planning curriculum for pre-primary grades, with a thorough understanding of phonics and a creative approach to learning. The candidate should possess excellent organisational skills, be able to meet strict deadlines, and have a passion for integrating technology into curriculum development. Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teachers and subject matter experts to develop curriculum plans and instructional materials for pre-primary grades, aligned with the NEP curriculum framework.
Develop engaging and comprehensive textbooks that incorporate best practices in early childhood education, ensuring alignment with educational standards and learning objectives.
Review and revise textbooks based on feedback from teachers, students, and curriculum evaluators, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with educational goals.
Conduct thorough research on educational trends, best practices, and advancements in the field of early childhood education.
Incorporate innovative and creative learning approaches into curriculum design, ensuring engaging and interactive educational experiences for students.
Utilise strong knowledge of phonics instruction to develop language and literacy components within the curriculum.
Integrate technology tools and resources effectively into curriculum development, promoting digital literacy and 21st-century skills.
Adapt and modify curriculum plans to suit the unique requirements of students, ensuring differentiated instruction and personalised learning experiences.
Maintain accurate and organized records of curriculum development, including assessment strategies, learning outcomes, and resources utilised.
Demonstrate proficiency in video and audio recording for the purpose of instructional content creation and teacher training materials.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Proven experience in curriculum planning, textbook development, and instructional materials creation, preferably for pre-primary grades.
Strong understanding of phonics instruction and early literacy development.
Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Proficiency in educational technology tools and digital resources.
Creative mind set with the ability to think outside the box and develop engaging learning approaches.
Strong research and analytical skills to stay up to date with educational trends and best practices.
Ability to adapt to changing needs and take on diverse roles within curriculum development.
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
