Hourly Foreign Language Teacher (2 hours per day)
Salary Range: 300 – 500 THB per hour
Reports to: Head of School
Job Summary:
We seek an enthusiastic, experienced Part-Time Foreign Languages Teacher to deliver engaging Foreign Language instruction, preferably in French or Spanish, to our students (Years 1-7). Using our school’s Project-Based and Exploratory Learning Planning Framework, you will plan and implement dynamic lessons that build communication skills, cultural awareness, and a lifelong interest in foreign languages and cultures.
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in a Foreign Language, preferably in French or Spanish
-Native or near-native proficiency in a Foreign Language, preferably in French or Spanish; strong command of English for instruction and communication
-Relevant teaching certification (e.g., TCSOL, CTCSOL, PGCE, CELTA, or equivalent)
-Demonstrated ability to design student-centered, communicative language lessons
-Strong classroom management and organizational skills
-Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
-Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and collaborative planning
-Passion for project‐based, arts‐integrated education and fostering a culturally responsive learning community
-Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in a school or international setting preferred
-Familiarity with international curricula (IPC, Cambridge, IB MYP/DP, or similar) is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan and deliver age- and level-appropriate Foreign Language lessons aligned with school curriculum standards and objectives
-Use a variety of teaching methods to develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
-Create and source authentic materials, multimedia resources, and assessments to enhance learning
-Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments; maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and learning portfolios
-Provide timely feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement
-Collaborate across departments to share best practices, develop cross-curricular projects, and participate in staff meetings (as needed)
-Uphold CISB’s policies on safeguarding, inclusion, and professional conduct at all times
Important Note: Teaching hours are Mondays through Thursdays, 1:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. and Fridays from 12:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. If you are not available during these hours, please do not inquire about the position, as the student timetables are already completed for the 2025-26 academic school year.
