Firefly Forest School is a nature-based, experiential learning community where children learn through curiosity, exploration, meaningful projects, and real-life experiences.
We are looking for a warm, creative, and inspiring Primary Teacher who sees children as capable learners and believes that education should go beyond textbooks and worksheets.

Primary Teacher / Homeroom Teacher
For children approximately 6–9 years old

• Monday–Friday

We would love to meet a teacher who:
• Genuinely loves working with children and values each child’s individuality
• Can create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
• Encourages children to ask questions, investigate, experiment, and think independently
• Is confident teaching primary-level English, Mathematics, Science, and interdisciplinary projects
• Can turn academic concepts into meaningful, hands-on learning experiences
• Enjoys learning outdoors and using nature as part of the classroom
• Values creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving
• Is comfortable working with mixed abilities and supporting children at their individual levels
• Is flexible, reflective, and enjoys collaborating with other teachers
• Believes that meaningful learning is more important than simply completing worksheets
Experience with Project-Based Learning, Inquiry-Based Learning, Forest School, Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Singapore Math, or other child-centered approaches will be an advantage.
🎓 Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Primary Education, or a related field
• Teaching experience with primary-aged children preferred
• Strong English communication skills
• International or alternative education experience is an advantage
• Most importantly, a genuine passion for helping children grow as confident, curious, and independent learners
