HEI Schools Phuket is a Finnish approach to Early Childhood Education based on research from the University of Helsinki and delivered through play-based learning. Currently we are opening a Kindergarten for children aged 2 to 7 years old and Primary. We work collaboratively with over 20 Hei Learning centres across the globe to ensure high-quality education for our students, support for teachers and a nurturing learning environment for all involved.

We are looking for a qualified teacher who has excellent communication skills, works well collaboratively and has an inquisitive nature to fostering curiosity among staff and children alike.
We are currently looking for a lead teacher who has:
• Experience working with children aged 1.8-7 years old
• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
• A recognised teaching qualification: BEd.; PGCE; iPGCE or equivalent
• Fluent English (Native or IELTS Academic score of 7.5 in listening, speaking, reading and writing)

Lead Teacher responsibilities include:
• Is responsible for the planning, implementation and assessment of activities based on HEI Curriculum Materials (and local curricula)
• Is responsible for collaboratively designing the learning environment with their team
• Is in charge of guiding the educational team and organizing the daily practices in the group
• Observes children’s growth and learning
• Makes sure each child has an Individual Plan and regularly updated individual portfolio
• Communicates closely with the principal and other teams
• Leads weekly team meetings
• Ensures families get information about their children
