Job Title: Job Coach/Inclusion Teacher (Experienced)
Contract start date: February 2025
Work hours: Full time
Location: Steps office on Ekkamai Soi 10, Bangkok, Thailand

Main role : To ensure the smooth day to day running of the training center by ensuring that:
-A safe and secure environment is provided for our team, our trainees, and any visitors
- Liaise closely with other departments for trainees' related activities
- Train and support internal and external internship providers

1. Program Planning and Delivery:

- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan curriculum, design resources, implement interventions, and set individual targets for trainees.
-Design and deliver training sessions in line with Steps' approach which have outcomes
that are clear, accessible, motivating, and purposeful to trainees.
- Collect trainee evidence and data aligned with Steps' accredited curriculum (eg,
ASDAN, TPQI, BTEC).
-Actively participate in ongoing meetings for program and BU development and
projects.
- Collect trainee data and conduct assessments using Steps' in-house tools to track progress.

2. Supporting Trainees, Internal and External Collaboration:

- Collaborate with schools and employers on projects that offer trainees work experience
or community engagement opportunities, such as events, open houses, and workshops.
- Collaborate with Steps' internal teams, such as the coffee shop and business units, to
plan the structure of trainees' work experience sessions, design and create resources,
and align with individual targets for each trainee.
- For trainees under your case management, be responsible for writing reports, forms,
evaluations, and meeting formally with families biannually or upon request.
- Maintain regular communication with trainees' families via email, phone, or social media
platforms like Seesaw. Help ensure there is weekly communication with parents/families
whether by email, phone, or social media (Seesaw).
- Assist trainees at events, workshops, and trips throughout the year, including weekends
and after center hours (see Work Hours below).

3. Program Development and Leadership

- Contribute to the development of inclusive training programmes, accessible resources,
and meaningful pathways that foster skills for life, employment, and independence, in line
with each trainee's individual learning style and capability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build and maintain relationships, promoting the
Education Unit to parents, guardians, educators, medical professionals, government, and
the local community.
- Develop and implement policies that align with educational standards and legal
requirements, such as child protection and safeguarding.
- Serve as a resource for the company, offering expertise on approaches and support for
neurodivergent learners including providing training for internal staff and external
stakeholders.

4. Aligning Steps' Mission and Creating an Inclusive Environment:

- Promote an environment of acceptance and understanding.
-Support Steps' mission within the community.
- Adhere to the approach, beliefs, and framework of Steps.
- Stay updated with best practices through regular reading of journal articles and studies,
and expanding professional expertise through ongoing professional development
activities.

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inclusive education, teaching, or supporting
neurodivergent learners
- Working proficiency in communication skills in English
- Skills in designing teaching resources (such as digital skills)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Inclusive education training
- Specialized training such as behavior therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), OT
(Occupational Therapy), etc.
-Experience in working collaboratively with professionals
- Master's degree in Inclusive Education, Disability Studies, Psychology, or related field
