Job overview

Glenalmond Phuket International School will be opening in Phuket, Thailand in August 2026. We will be opening Early Years, offering EYFS, and Primary, offering the National Curriculum in England. There is a possibility that we will also open Key Stage 3, as there is currently strong interest amongst the local community for us to do so.

In partnership with Glenalmond Group, United Kingdom we have close ties with Glenalmond College (Year 8 to 13), a premier independent boarding school in Perthshire, Scotland with 178 years of tradition and excellence. A similar relationship exists with Craigclowan School & Nursery (EYFS to Year 8), also in Perthshire and another member of the Glenalmond Group.

We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic practitioners with a little pioneer spirit to join our school. We are opening a purpose-built Early Years and Primary school inside Thanyapura Sports & Health Resort in beautiful Phuket, Thailand. Provision for Secondary will follow, likely one year at a time, but the interest from the community may mean that this may change.

Glenalmond Phuket uses the Singapore mathematics curriculum from Year 1 to 9 and Mandarin Chinese is compulsory throughout the school. Glenalmond Phuket has a deliberate focus on digital literacy – IT skills, coding, AI awareness, robotics and much more. This position will be vital in this provision, working with the Head of Primary and Early Years and the Deputy Head to ensure that an organic future-focused curriculum is designed and implemented across the school - from Early Years to Year 9 (eventually). This role will support Homeroom teachers in using key iGroup MangoSTEEMS and KooBits software and other technology and/or resources to enrich the curriculum of the school.

Our stunning facilities, opening in August 2026, include dedicated Primary specialist rooms for Digital Literacy, Science, Art, Drama, Music, Design Technology, Dance and Mindfulness. These are complemented by a lecture theatre, Library and a 450-seat multi-purpose auditorium.

We are partners with Thanyapura Sports & Health Resort, with allows us full access to world-class sports and wellness facilities. As such, sports and mindfulness are also important facets of the wider curriculum we offer.

Applicants with local or regional expertise will be viewed favourably.
