RBIS International School, established in 1971, is one of Bangkok’s most experienced British curriculum schools. We are seeking an exceptional Maths and Physics teacher to join our secondary team in August 2026. This role includes teaching IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics, with the possibility of Additional Mathematics and Further Mathematics, as well as IGCSE and A-Level Physics.

Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable teacher with a passion for Mathematics and Physics, able to deliver high-quality instruction at KS4 and KS5. The ideal candidate will be confident teaching higher-level mathematics (Additional/Further Mathematics) and supporting students aiming for top grades and STEM pathways.

Key Responsibilities

Mathematics (IGCSE & A-Level):

  • Teach Mathematics at KS4 and KS5, including the possibility of Additional Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

  • Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability.

  • Use a range of teaching strategies to support diverse learners, including those aiming for STEM degrees.

Physics (IGCSE & A-Level):

  • Deliver Physics at KS4 and KS5 with a strong focus on scientific inquiry and practical skills.

  • Prepare students for examinations through effective teaching of theory, experiments, and application of physics principles.

  • Promote analytical thinking, independent study skills, and scientific curiosity.

General Responsibilities:

  • Assess, track, and report on student progress with accuracy.

  • Contribute to curriculum development within the Maths and Science departments.

  • Support students applying for engineering or STEM-related university programmes.

  • Engage actively in wider school life, including extracurricular activities, STEM events, and competitions.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular links and whole-school academic excellence.

Person Specification
  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Physics is essential.

  • Experience with Additional Maths or Further Maths is highly desirable.

  • Strong subject knowledge, particularly for preparing high-achieving students.

  • International school experience is an advantage but not required.

  • Professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to high academic standards.

  • Initial two-year contract with a competitive salary.
