Position: Head of Chinese Language Department
Montessori Academy Bangkok International School (MABIS) is seeking an experienced and passionate Montessori-trained Chinese Language Educator to join our faculty as Head of the Chinese Language Department.
The successful candidate will provide academic leadership for the Chinese Language program, mentor and supervise the teaching team, and deliver engaging, culturally rich Chinese language instruction to students across levels.
Start Date: Spring or August 2026
Qualifications & Requirements
● Montessori diploma 3-6 or 6-12 (AMI, AMS, or MACTE)
● Minimum 10 years of teaching experience, including:
○ International school experience
○ Leadership experience in a Chinese Language Department or Program
● Valid Teaching License from China or Taiwan
● Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC) Level 2-A or above
● Expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
○ Chinese History ○ Chinese Classics / Philosophy
○ Traditional Chinese Medicine
○ Drama, Dance, Music, Art, or Martial Arts
● Ability to communicate effectively in English
● Warm, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
● Creative, adaptable, and collaborative; able to thrive in a multicultural environment
Nationality: China or Taiwan
