Full job description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced French teacher to join our team at the Mayo International School.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver effective and engaging French lessons that cater to the needs of primary school students.
Create lesson plans that incorporate the school's curriculum and align with the learning objectives of each grade level.
Use a range of teaching strategies to facilitate learning and help students develop their French language skills.
Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Collaborate with other teachers to create cross-curricular learning opportunities.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of the French language and culture.
Contribute to school-wide activities and events as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Teaching certification or qualification from a recognized institution.
Native or near-native proficiency in French language.
Experience teaching French to primary school students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
Knowledge of current teaching methods and best practices in French language education.
Passion for teaching and promoting the French language and culture.
