One Hope International School is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and qualified female teacher to provide individualized, one-to-one support for a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The successful candidate will work closely with the student throughout the school day, supporting academic learning, communication, emotional and sensory regulation, social development, independence, and successful participation in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide consistent one-to-one support throughout the student’s daily schedule.
• Implement appropriate classroom accommodations and learning adaptations.
• Support communication, emotional regulation, behavior, social interaction, and transitions.
• Help the student participate successfully in lessons, activities, mealtimes, and school routines.
• Develop and apply individualized strategies according to the student’s specific needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, school leadership, the student’s family, and relevant specialists.
• Monitor progress and maintain clear records of strategies, observations, and achievements.
• Support the student’s independence while maintaining a safe, structured, and encouraging environment.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other responsibilities connected to the position.
• Follow all school safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional conduct expectations.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an educator who is patient, flexible, observant, nurturing, and committed to helping a student with autism reach their full potential. The candidate should be able to build trust, maintain consistent routines, respond calmly to challenges, and adjust support according to the student’s needs.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field
• Qualification, certification, or relevant training in special educational needs, particularly autism
• Minimum of two years of experience supporting children with autism or other special educational needs
• Advanced English communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, specialists, and school leadership
• Willingness to relocate to Thailand and begin as soon as possible
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a one-to-one support teacher, shadow teacher, learning support teacher, or SEN teacher
• Classroom teaching experience as a subject or homeroom teacher
• Additional qualifications in occupational therapy, speech and language development, psychomotor development, behavior support, or another related therapeutic field
• Experience working in an international or American-curriculum school
Position and Salary Options
1:1 Support Teacher
The teacher’s primary responsibility will be to provide dedicated one-to-one support for the student throughout the school day.
Monthly salary: THB 30,000–50,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
1:1 Support Teacher with Classroom Teaching Responsibilities
Candidates with suitable classroom teaching experience may combine the one-to-one support role with responsibilities as a subject or homeroom teacher.
Monthly salary: THB 65,000–72,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and assigned responsibilities.
A higher salary range may be available to candidates holding a relevant master’s degree or advanced professional qualifications.
