Job overview
Tara Pattana International School seeks a talented, innovative and ambitious Science Teacher. This is an exciting time to join TPIS as we are increasing our numbers on role significantly and recruiting several new staff to meet this need. The school has recently become an ISP partner school. If you have high expectations of teaching and learning and have a natural passion for improving opportunities for children to nurture their aspirations, then this could be the role for you.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Early Year. They should demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the National Curriculum for England, along with experience supporting students for whom English is an additional language; a TEFL qualification would be an added advantage. Experience or willingness to contribute to related humanities courses, where appropriate, would also be beneficial.

They should be highly professional but flexible in their approach, willing to take on a variety of tasks and fit into the wider community life. There are also some key criteria that must be fulfilled to qualify for a visa and work permit.
 
The successful candidate will be:
A fully qualified teacher.
Have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
Be flexible and positive in their approach to working in an all-through international school (e.g. teaching some upper primary science).
Be a team player and willing to commit to our co-curricular activities programme and willing to contribute to the school beyond the timetabled curriculum (e.g. residential trips, marketing events, sporting fixtures).
Be to build relationships with students, parents, administrative staff and colleagues.
Be culturally sensitive.Enthusiastic about taking responsibility for their own professional development and keeping up-to-date with current educat
ional research and developments.

Our Requirements for Teaching Roles
A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or a relevant subject degree plus a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, OCT, or equivalent).
At least 2–3 years of post-qualification full-time teaching experience, ideally in an international or bilingual school setting.
Experience with international curricula (English National Curriculum, IB, IGCSE, A Level...) is highly preferred.
