Playgroup Teacher: Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate playgroup sessions for young children and their parents/carers, focusing on sensory, social, and fine/gross motor development.
Early Years Class Substitute: Act as a substitute across EY classes during off playgroup hours, maintaining class routines and delivering curriculum plans effectively.
Child Safety & Pastoral Care: Monitor child well-being, apply immediate basic care or first aid when required, and ensure strict adherence to early childhood safeguarding policies.
Observation & Environment: Maintain an inviting, clean, and safe play environment, preparing learning resources suited for toddlers and young EY students.
Parent Engagement: Build warm, professional relationships with parents during playgroup sessions and answer general questions about early childhood routines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Foreign candidate with Native or Near-Native English proficiency.
Proven experience working with Early Years students, with a strong focus on younger age groups (toddlers, Pre-Nursery).
Valid CPR and First Aid certification (highly preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
High flexibility, strong classroom management for young learners, adaptability for cover teaching, and dynamic communication skills.
