Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English/English Literature Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching the Cambridge Curriculum, specifically Checkpoint, IGCSE, AS, and A Level English/English
Literature.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English and English Literature for students in Years 8 to 13.
• Develop and implement curriculum in line with Cambridge standards.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, AS, and A Level examinations.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall development of the English department.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Teaching certification or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience teaching English/English Literature at the secondary school level, ideally within the Cambridge Curriculum framework.
• Strong knowledge of the Cambridge Curriculum and examination requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Utilise technology and computer-based resources to enhance classroom learning and educational experiences.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
