Job Summary:
The Early Years Teacher at Ruamrudee International School Phuket is responsible for providing a nurturing and engaging educational experience for young learners. This position involves creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Early Years Teacher will implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, assess student progress, and collaborate with parents to ensure the well-being and academic success of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
● Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with the school's educational philosophy and meets the needs of early learners.
● Create engaging and interactive lessons that promote language development, cognitive skills, socialization, and motor skills.
2. Classroom Management:
● Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and play.
● Implement effective classroom management strategies that encourage positive behavior and social skills.
3. Assessment and Reporting:
● Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor individual student progress and development.
● Provide regular feedback to parents on their child's achievements, challenges, and developmental milestones.
4. Parent Communication and Collaboration:
● Foster positive relationships with parents through regular communication, conferences, and events.
● Collaborate with parents to support each child's learning and address any concerns or questions.
5. Learning Support and Differentiation:
● Identify and address the diverse learning needs of students through individualized instruction and appropriate learning materials.
● Collaborate with support staff and specialists to provide additional assistance when needed.
6. Health and Safety:
● Ensure the well-being and safety of all students in the classroom and on the school premises.
● Follow established health and safety protocols, and promptly address any concerns related to student welfare.
7. Professional Development:
● Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education.
● Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
● Teaching certification with a focus on early childhood education.
● Proven experience in teaching young children in an early years setting.
● Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education theories.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
