About this role:
Meritton British International School is looking for an experienced, qualified, native English-speaking Early Years Teacher to join our team at the beginning of 2026. The successful candidate will provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment that supports every child’s social, emotional, and academic growth through Values-based Education (VbE) and Enquiry-based Learning.
In the Early Years section, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum from the UK, while our Primary and Secondary Schools follow the Cambridge International Curriculum. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and pedagogy is essential, along with experience in phonics teaching programmes such as Jolly Phonics.
Qualifications & Experience:
* An undergraduate degree in Education, or a bachelor’s degree plus an internationally recognised postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE with QTS)
* At least 2 years’ experience teaching in Early Years
* In-depth understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child-centred pedagogy
* Experience teaching phonics (e.g. Jolly Phonics)
* Native English speaker
* Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry-based Learning
