About THM International School
THM International School is an international early childhood school located in Nichada Thani, Nonthaburi, within the Bangkok metropolitan area and close to International School Bangkok (ISB).

Our educational program combines the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks with Montessori principles, providing a child-centered approach that emphasizes strong academic foundations, independence, inquiry, and hands-on learning.

We are seeking an experienced, professionally qualified Early Childhood Teacher with classroom teaching experience in the United States, particularly in Preschool, Pre-K, or Kindergarten.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of American early childhood education, developmentally appropriate teaching practices, curriculum planning, and classroom assessment.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Classroom Instruction

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and relevant early learning guidelines.
  • Support children's development in early literacy, numeracy, language, social-emotional skills, and independence.
  • Integrate Montessori principles, hands-on exploration, inquiry-based learning, and purposeful classroom activities.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet children's individual developmental needs and learning abilities.
  • Establish positive classroom routines and effective, age-appropriate behavior management practices.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, organized, and engaging classroom environment.

Curriculum Planning & Assessment

  • Develop lesson plans and learning activities aligned with school curriculum expectations.
  • Use classroom observations, formative assessments, and student portfolios to document learning and development.
  • Monitor individual student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to ensure consistent curriculum implementation and instructional quality.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Communicate professionally with parents regarding children's learning, development, and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, specialist teachers, and school leadership.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development.
  • Maintain professional standards in student safeguarding, classroom supervision, and student well-being.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Professional Teaching Qualifications Required

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related education field.
  • A recognized professional teaching license or certification in Early Childhood Education, preferably a US State Teaching License.
  • A minimum of 3 years of full-time classroom teaching experience in the United States, preferably in Preschool, Pre-K, or Kindergarten.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching within the American early childhood education system.
  • Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice, early childhood curriculum, classroom management, and assessment.
  • Experience planning and delivering engaging, child-centered learning experiences.
  • Excellent English communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience teaching Preschool, Pre-K, or Kindergarten in US public or private schools.
  • Familiarity with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and early learning guidelines.
  • Experience with early literacy, foundational mathematics, and social-emotional learning.
  • Knowledge of Montessori education or other child-centered approaches. Formal Montessori certification is not required.
  • Experience supporting multilingual learners and children from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • A master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Important Information for Applicants
This position requires a recognized professional teaching qualification and classroom teaching experience in the United States.

Applicants should have direct experience as a lead or classroom teacher in a Preschool, Pre-K, or Kindergarten setting.

This is not an ESL/EFL teaching position. A bachelor's degree combined solely with TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or similar English-language teaching certification does not meet the professional teaching qualification requirements.
