This position will focus on the well-being, safety, and emotional support of students. This role will help create a safe, nurturing environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.

The main responsibilities typically include:
1. Pastoral Care: Oversee the general well-being of students, ensuring they feel supported emotionally, socially, and mentally. This includes monitoring students’ behavior, helping them manage personal issues, and providing a positive school culture.
2. Safeguarding: Ensure that students are safe from harm. This involves monitoring and responding to any safeguarding concerns, such as issues of abuse, neglect, bullying, or mental health challenges. This person will work with other staff members to follow protocols and maintain the school’s safeguarding policies.
3. Student Welfare: Support students who may be facing personal difficulties or crises, such as family issues, mental health concerns, or academic pressures. They may help direct students to appropriate support services, both within the school and externally.
4. Behavior Management: Work with students, staff, and parents to develop and implement effective behavior management strategies. This can include addressing instances of bullying, misconduct, or conflict resolution, and ensuring that students understand and follow school policies regarding behavior.
5. Supporting Vulnerable Students: Play a role in identifying and supporting vulnerable students, such as those with special educational needs or mental health challenges. The person will work closely with teachers, counselors, and outside agencies to ensure these students receive the right support.
6. Parental Engagement: Communicate with parents about their child's well-being and any concerns. They will organise meetings with parents, help them understand pastoral policies, and guide them on how to best support their children.
7. Promote a Positive School Culture: Help foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive school environment where students feel safe and valued. This includes addressing issues related to discrimination, promoting diversity, and supporting student initiatives that enhance school culture.
The Assistant Head: Pastoral/Safeguarding ensures that the emotional, mental, and physical safety of students is prioritised. They are a key part of creating a positive and supportive school environment and act as a point of contact for students facing personal or safety-related issues.

- The minimum salary is 140,000 Baht per month, plus 10,000 Baht for housing.
(Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in recognised schools.)
- Annual return flights to your home country, up to a maximum of 50,000 Baht.
