The successful candidate will deputise for the Head of Lower School when required and support the development of the Harrow Learner Profile through curriculum, teaching and learning, ensuring that academic success is developed alongside students’ character, independence and personal development.

Experience and qualifications
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Appropriate degree, with UK PGCE or other teaching qualification giving QTS
Minimum five years' teaching experience
Master's degree or NPQSL/NPQH/other relevant leadership qualification desirable
Significant and successful senior leadership experience within a school setting
Strong understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, progress and academic quality assurance
Experience of leading academic improvement and strategic change
Experience of leading professional development, coaching and mentoring
Understanding of character development and commitment to the Harrow Learner Profile
Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular and wider school activities
