About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic educator to lead our debate programme and support university guidance within the Academic & Career Service (ACS). This hybrid role strengthens Anglo’s commitment to academic excellence, critical thinking, and global university readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Debate Training & Programme Development

  • Coach the School Debate Team and Debate CCA students.

  • Design annual training plans, resources, and competition preparation.

  • Mentor students in motion analysis, case building, speaking, and strategy.

  • Coordinate tournaments, selections, and parent communication.

University Guidance

  • Lead personal statement, SOP, and portfolio writing guidance.

  • Conduct workshops, small-group sessions, and 1:1 consultations.

  • Provide detailed feedback to ensure high-quality university applications.

  • Work closely with ACS counsellors on application alignment.

Camps & Overseas Trips (ACS)

  • Support planning and execution of selected camps and overseas residential trips.

  • Liaise with partners, ensure safety procedures, and guide learning objectives.

Professional Collaboration

  • Maintain student records and progress tracking.

  • Participate in ACS events, fairs, meetings, and training sessions.

  • Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and professional standards.

  • Flexibility to support weekend/evening events when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate or teaching qualifications preferred.

  • Strong background in competitive debating (WSDC/BP or similar).

  • Experience coaching teams and supporting university applications.

  • Prior involvement in camps, trips, or international school settings is an advantage.
