Mill Hill International School, a new and dynamic British International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand, is seeking an innovative and experienced Computing Teacher and Subject Lead to lead the development and delivery of an outstanding computing curriculum across the primary phase (ages 5–11). The Role
As the Computing Teacher and Subject Lead, you will:
- Deliver exciting and interactive computing lessons from Year 1 to Year 6.
- Collaborate with colleagues (including Early Years educators) to integrate computing and digital literacy across the wider curriculum.
- Design and lead a progressive computing curriculum that engages students in coding, digital citizenship, creative use of technology, and online safety.
- Play a key role in launching the computing curriculum from Day 1 of our school’s opening.
- Provide professional development, guidance, and mentorship to staff in the use of educational technology.
- Champion innovation and creativity using Google, Apple, and Microsoft tools to enhance learning experiences.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone with:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or PGCE).
- Proven experience teaching computing in primary education (ideally UK curriculum or similar).
- Experience in curriculum leadership and the ability to guide and inspire others.
- A passion for empowering young learners through technology and digital literacy.
- Strong knowledge of coding tools such as Scratch, Python, HTML/CSS, and familiarity with platforms like Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute to a creative, inclusive, and ambitious school culture.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in early years or lower primary computing education.
- Expertise in promoting digital safety and responsible online behaviour.
- Familiarity with cross-curricular technology integration and use of robotics or multimedia tools.
