We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified and experienced College Guidance Counselor to join our Secondary Teaching team. 

The job description includes: 

  • Teach the college guidance component of the Life Skills Course in grade 11 and 12 
  • Provide college preparation and guidance for all high school students and parents 
  • Ensure that secondary students are prepared to develop their portfolios in a timely manner for college applications 
  • Teach 1 course in any subject that you are qualified to teach (all directors, counselors, and administrators in the secondary school teach one academic course) 
  • Academic counseling - ensuring that all secondary students are on track for graduation and college application 

 We expect the successful candidate will: 

  • Have a recognized teaching qualification, BEd., PGCE, iPGCE or Equivalent 
  • Have previous experience in an International School environment, experiential /expeditionary learning environment, and have experience of teaching second language learners 
  • Experience of teaching students progressive education setting 
  • Experience of developing curriculum and a willingness to learn
