Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join our secondary academic team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that connect biological concepts with practical investigations and real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach secondary-level Biology according to the school curriculum and weekly schedule.
- Prepare effective lesson plans, learning materials, laboratory activities, and assessments.
- Conduct practical investigations while maintaining strict laboratory safety standards.
- Use inquiry-based, project-based, and differentiated teaching strategies.
- Assess students through tests, assignments, projects, and laboratory reports.
- Mark work, provide constructive feedback, track student progress, and enter grades into the school system.
- Maintain an organised and safe laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department and colleagues on curriculum development and student support.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, extracurricular activities, science fairs, and school initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Science Education, or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification or licence is preferred.
- Experience teaching Biology at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of cell biology, genetics, ecology, human biology, evolution, and biotechnology.
- Experience planning and conducting laboratory investigations safely.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience with assessment design, grading, and tracking student progress.
- Ability to use educational technology effectively.
- Commitment to collaboration and ongoing professional development.
