We are seeking a passionate and experienced Art & Design Teacher to join our team at a British Secondary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art & Design to students in the secondary years (ages 11-16).

Plan and deliver engaging and effective Art & Design lessons to students in the secondary years.
Create and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the school's and Cambridge curriculum and teaching standards.
Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians as needed.
Contribute to the development of the Art & Design curriculum and teaching resources
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning are maintained.
Participate in extracurricular activities and school events as required, including School Productions, Christmas Shows, Talent Shows and Art events that take place throughout the year.
A degree in Art & Design or a related field.
A teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS or equivalent) and relevant teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
A thorough understanding of the UK National Curriculum and experience of teaching Art & Design to Secondary and IGCSE level standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Being able to teach students how to draw, paint and sculpt would be advantageous.
The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
Working in collaboration with the Visual and Performing Arts department, including Drama and Music.
Must be able to give guidance to students who participate in Art extra classes.
Experience working with EAL learners is an advantage.
Must be a team player and collaborate well with other teachers.
