
Job Title: Academic Development Lead
Reports to: Vice Principal
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Academic Development Lead to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our college’s academic operations. Acting as a vital link between teacher support, student services, and college-wide initiatives, the Academic Development Lead will help drive quality across all areas of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will work closely with staff and students to contribute to the continued success of the college community.
Key Responsibilities:
Teacher Support & Development
Lead onboarding, training, and INSET for new and existing teachers.
Allocate and distribute course materials in line with curriculum requirements.
Provide ongoing support to teachers with schemes of work, lesson materials, academic planning, and lesson delivery.
Conduct teacher observations and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
Academic Operations
Assist the Vice Principal in implementing college-wide systems and initiatives.
Support student admission processes.
Monitor student progress and assist with student-related issues as required.
Qualifications
Essential:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree
Must hold one of: DELTA / DipTESOL, Trinity Diploma, or MA TESOL.
Desirable:
PGCE / QTS, Cambridge Train the Trainer, or equivalent.
Experience
Essential:
Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience, including at least 2 years teaching A-level or equivalent pre-university programmes
Experience in supporting teachers in developing classroom practice for non-native students
Proven track record in conducting teacher observations and feedback cycles
Desirable:
Experience with A-level exam boards (Edexcel, Cambridge, AQA), EAP, CLIL, bilingual education, or work in international schools in Asia.
Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
Strong understanding of A-level pedagogy and exam preparation
Skilled in designing and delivering CPD workshops (e.g., questioning, scaffolding, assessment for learning)
Excellent mentoring and coaching skills; able to provide constructive, supportive feedback
Clear communicator, able to model effective academic English
Culturally sensitive, with experience in international contexts

Remuneration:
Salary: 100,000 THB - 120,000 THB
