Sha Tin College is seeking a passionate and experienced Digital Technologies / Computer Science teacher to inspire students through the IB MYP Digital Design and IGCSE Computer Science programs, with potential future involvement in the IB Diploma Computer Science curriculum.

Responsibilities
You will exemplify excellent professional practice, exhibit high standards of teaching and learning, and support the guidance and co-curricular activities of the school. Experience with MYP, IGCSE, and IBDP curriculum is a plus but not essential for the right candidate.
Working as part of the Faculty/Department team under the guidance and direction of the Head of Faculty/Department, you are expected to:
Provide learning opportunities for every student commensurate with their needs, abilities and stage of development by teaching a programme that gives each student the opportunity to experience success and which challenges all students to achieve their full potential
Establish effective and positive relationships with students based on mutual respect, recognition of the individuality of each student and affirming their cultural identity
Provide a safe, effective, challenging learning environment and an attractive and welcoming classroom
Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of students
Contribute ideas and collaborate on the design and development of courses, teaching materials, programmes and assessments
Maintain positive classroom management among students and safeguard their health and safety
Actively participate in, and contribute to, the professional development life of the school
Work as a tutor for a group of students within the Wellbeing programme
Take cover lessons, assist with examination arrangements, perform yard supervision duties and other tasks within the normal roster of duties assigned to the teaching faculty
Contribute to the extra-curricular programme
Perform other duties which may reasonably be assigned from time to time by the Principal

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Education, or
Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent;
1-3 years’ teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation.
